SPECIAL NEEDS
Whilst we do not claim to have expert knowledge about how best to engage with adults and children with special needs, we can’t help but notice that God has often sent us people with special needs and that they have always enriched our church life!
We believe that each individual is precious to God and that He wants them to know Him and know His love for them.
We will try and ensure that we provide an environment that is safe, reassuring and loving for each child. In the past we have provided special needs children with their own individual helper within a group where this has been appropriate.
Each child is different and so it is with special needs children. If you would like to discuss arrangements with someone beforehand, please phone our Children’s Work Coordinator, Julia Stentoft, on 01442 866355.

It would be particularly useful to contact us prior to the service if your child has significant mobility problems as our children’s groups are usually held upstairs at the church and this involves going up quite a few stairs. We will always try and find a solution if given notice.
We can accommodate most wheelchairs in our church sanctuary and in the Lower Hall where we have coffee after the service. We hope in time to look at disability access issues within the church as a whole.
